Join three inspiring Calgary seniors for a powerful and uplifting conversation about climate action, aging, and hope for the future. In this engaging online session, Robert, Cathy, and Sheila will each share their personal climate journeys—what drives them, how they got started, the actions they take, and how seniors can play a vital role in building a more livable world.

This session will highlight the importance of using your voice at any age and embracing community action. Whether you’re already engaged or just getting curious about what’s possible, this conversation is for anyone interested in protecting the planet for generations to come.

    You’ll hear about:

    • What inspired each of them to become involved in climate advocacy
    • The challenges and triumphs of taking action as an older adult
    • Simple, meaningful steps seniors can take today
    • What gives them hope for the future

Bring your questions, share your stories, and be part of the conversation.

    Meet the Presenters:

    Robert Miller
Robert is a retired electronics engineer whose career included designing technology for Canada's military, oil and gas platforms, and healthcare systems. Today, he dedicates his time to planting mini forests with the Calgary Climate Hub, writing for the Western Producer and National Observer, and advocating for a climate-friendly future through Eco-Elders for Climate Action.

    Cathy Page
Cathy is a proud Métis and retired business analyst from the oil and gas industry. Now, she focuses her energy on being a good ancestor and creating a more livable world. Cathy volunteers with the Calgary Zoo/Wilder Institute, Citizens' Climate Lobby, and the Calgary Climate Hub. She finds joy tending to the bees in her inner-city garden.

    Sheila Tousignant
Sheila is a retired elementary school teacher who has long cared about recycling, pollution, and protecting nature. In recent years, she has become more active with groups like 350.org, Seniors for Climate, and the Eco-Elders of the Calgary Climate Hub. Sheila is a passionate believer that everyday actions add up—and that good people working together truly can make a difference.
